Im based just outside Edinburgh in South Queensferry. I love driving and exploring new areas so if your wedding is further away, give me a shout and I'll give you a bespoke quote, it's not as expensive as you may think!
My style is Fine Art and Documentary images.
I shoot very unobtrusively so I wont be in your face all day! I'll be hiding out behind pillars or trees trying to capture those one off moments and those split second expressions!
I shoot with colour and black and white images in mind and supply a mixture of both on your USB.
You have decided to book me? Amazing!
So what's next?
I will send you over a personalised Contract and T&C for reading and signing. This is all done electronically on your computer, tablet or phone. Takes seconds - its ace!
I also send you the invoice for your 25% non-refundable booking fee - this secures your date. Again this is done online and you can use debit or credit cards. So easy!
Around 2-3 months before the wedding, we will meet over a coffee or at your venue for a catch up. I will collect further details about the day - the finer details such as the days schedule, vendor details, colour and theme details and discuss the shots on your day.
Although I am available for coffee catch ups at anytime !
30 days before the wedding your balance will be due.
I ALWAYS visit the venue prior to the wedding for a recce shoot - this allows me to walk about and find the best photo locations to save time on the day!
I offer all couples an Engagement Session or as I sometimes call it, a practice shoot.
This is where we spend 1-2 hours together in a gorgeous location, getting to know each other a bit better, practicing being infront of the camera (for those of you who maybe a little camera shy) and generally having a good laugh!
A selection of edited images is then posted on private viewing gallery where images can be downloaded, shared or purchased.
These sessions cost £150 and usually done around 3-4 months before your wedding.
Skye and Jura packages include a private gallery and a USB
Harris Package includes a private gallery, USB and a gorgeous leather Fine Art album, with images carefully selected and designed by me, to tell the story of your wedding.
Fine Art albums are available in a selection of colours and finishes.
Parent albums (Minis), boxed prints and prints are also available.
I don't really need anything on the day but a few bits and pieces available to me will make your photos even better. These include:
A written copy of the wedding invitation and both rings if possible - this is so I can include them in the detail shots prior to the ceremony.
But dont worry if both rings together are not possible - I can use the Brides engagement ring!
If you are having any group photos, usually a bridesmaid or usher is selected to gather all groups in advance of their group shots. Someone who knows the family members and friends, and someone who is skilled at peeling folk away from the bar area for a short time!
Brides - if you have bought in the matching dressing gowns for your bridesmaids to wear during the morning, try to steam them or hang them beforehand to get rid of the crease/fold marks - looks better in the photos.
Consider a 'First Look' prior to the ceremony. This can be a first look between the Bride and the FOB which is a magical and very emotional moment, perfect for photos!
Some couples do a first look but from behind a door - just holding hands around the door and talking to each other - again a fab photo opportunity and helps to ease some pre-ceremony nerves.
Remember to drink lots of water all day - remind me too - I always forget!
Most importantly - take 10 minutes out, alone, together, away from everyone (even me!). You will need this time to relax and catch up with each other, I promise you! The day will go so fast and you will realise that you didn't even get to sit down with each other in a quiet area just to be together.
Drink, eat, dance, laugh, spin in circles, reminisce and have the most awesome day!
